Number 2 establishment on the walk is Gray's Court. I was planning to do the walk and then return to have afternoon tea there, but by the time I got to Bootham Bar it was raining hard, so I decide to reverse the order and wait for a break in the rain.

I had darjeeling tea (£3.75) which was the real thing. I went to Darjeeling, India many years ago as part of a tour to Sikkim. I stayed at a tea station and had a tour of the tea making factory there. So well done Gray's Court in brining the real tea to Yorkshire.
