After a brisk walk following a meeting at the Star Inn (unfortunately not on the Snickelway walk), for the Yorkshire Philosophy society, I started the King's Square section with the Last Drop inn.
I have been meaning to have a pint here for sometime as it serves ale brewed in York itself - within the walls at York brewery. I tried Yorkshire Terrier which I found a bit hoppy. Of all the pints I have had recently I have to say good old Theakstons had been the best. The yorkshire cider served at the Star Inn comes a close second. Apparently the cider is made just north of here at the Great Yorkshire Brewery near Picketing and the apples come from Yorkshire Orchards near there.

The story in today's times was again about Brexit - the huge pensions given to all the Meps and how much we need to pay on leaving. Well when the new financial system arrives, such payments will be small beer, so no need to get too worked up about the rip off pension scheme that provided by the gravy train that is Europe. Instead I would like to talk about the labour party conference and the "anti Semitic" stance of a few of their supporters. Too often the press simplifies extremely complex issues to a "rabble rousing" cry of anti-semitism. I have just been to Israel and found the Israeli people to be very welcoming and helpful. The ordinary people are not the problem. If you want to point a finger, and my preference is not to be in judgement at all, but if you want to know more about the jewfish question- please avoid lumping all Israelis, Jews or the chosen ones together - the issue is to do with the so called Zionists - particularly the Rothschild Zionists with their world- domination agenda.
