Harlequins

Today is Tuesday so I was joined by 2 people from the meetup group to walk the Snickelways. We started at Snickelway Inn (appropriately named) and proceeded to go around the course including the Museum gardens and the additional snickelway beside the art gallery. We completed the walk in 1.5 hrs and celebrated at Harlequins (also called The Attic) with a nice cup of Yorkshire tea.

News items

There were a few that caught my eye today - from the £1.2 trillion it will cost the UK from obesity and other "life style" diseases.

Trump has the lowest rating for a sitting president in modern times.

But the big news item which of course was burred on the middle pages was that Third Energy are getting ready to carry out the first commercial frack at Kirby Misperton. They still believe that if they show us that it does not cause earthquakes etc. then somehow we will allow them to destroy Yorkshire with a large number of similar sites. There is a huge difference between and isolated pollution event at a single well and the industrialisation of North Yorkshire.
